The collar on these partially threaded drawn arc weld studs acts as a spacer between the workpiece and parts installed on the studs after they have been welded to the workpiece. A short base section is melted off during the welding process. Sometimes called Partially Threaded Drawn Arc Weld Studs with Collar, the studs form strong, vibration-resistant welds that provide a tight seal against water, oil, air, or gas leaks at the weld point.Â
